I used the original orange color of the old website, but used it more as an accent color, allowing for the white space to communicate a minimal and modern feeling. I utilized the orange throughout the website in call to actions. I paired this with a nice navy color to compliment. The homepage features the texture of the broken rock from an excavation site. I used this as a way to visually communicate the companies work. This was subtle enough though, that the logo became the main focal point.
